The tool for this is a community journal. One journal helps a person see their own path. Many journals, together, let a community see itself. Today it’s a working prototype, built by one founder working with AI tools. It’s designed to be free to use and to be handed to the people who use it.

You can't fix what you can't find. A community needs a living picture of its people, its assets, its real needs, and the potential sitting in plain sight — not a report gathering dust, a picture true enough to act on.

Communities already know how to act. What's usually missing are the tools to act together — the coordination that rarely survives a budget — so who's moving on what is visible, the next step is easy to take, and no one carries the work alone.

Govern in the open — decide, own, hand over.

How decisions get made, how ownership is held, how things pass on — published as we practice it, for any community to take and run. The destination is community cooperatives: contribution earns standing, participation earns ownership.
